The Honorable Julias Caesar (“J. C.”) Watts is a former Congressman who has spent his career following his own moral compass, even when those around him wanted him to be someone else.

J C Watts was the only African-American Republican in the House and was chosen to deliver the Republican reply to President Bill Clinton’s State of the Union address in February 1997, the youngest congressman and first African-American to do so.

After he left Congress, Mr. Watts formed a DC-based lobbying firm that addressed the issues he had fought for since he was a teenager. As a private citizen, he has been involved in many business, advocacy, and charitable ventures.
